Free Tools for Sprinters: Now in the Android App

Train Smarter, Without Buying Hardware

Every sprinter — from beginner to elite — deserves tools to train with numbers. Not everyone has a laser gate, a jump mat, or a linear transducer.

SpeedTrackr’s free athlete tools now live in the Android app. This is not a browser calculator suite and we are not promising to restore the old web utilities. The free-tools hub exists so search still lands on a clear Play Store path.

What’s in the Android app (free to start)

These are the tools athletes actually open on the track:

Dual-phone timing gates

Pair two Android phones with a 4-digit code and time a practice run over a set distance (start to finish). Computer-vision finish detection. Practice-grade consistency — not official FAT or certified laser timing. Start at the timing gates page or read phone vs laser gates.

Jump / RSI

Vertical jump height and reactive strength index from flight-time video. No jump mat. See vertical jump analysis.

Reaction starts

Train sprint-start reaction off a start cue in the app. A simple web trainer still exists at Reaction Pro; the full start-timing workflow is Android.

Video VBT

On-device bar velocity (mean/peak, velocity loss, bar-path overlay). The free tier includes 1 set/day; we do not invent paid prices here.

Coach roster + Excel

Manage a simple athlete roster and export session data to Excel inside the Android app only. Not a web coach dashboard.

Why the web calculators went away

We used to ship browser utilities (sprint time estimator, weekly planner, strength % calculator). They sat next to a product that had become Android-first. Keeping a fake “free tools website” would have been the wrong promise.

  • No restored web calculators. Old URLs such as /free-tools/sprint-calculator redirect to the hub.
  • No login wall on this site to use those dead pages — because the pages are gone.
  • The app is free to start on Google Play.

Try the tools where training happens

  1. Get the Android app: Google Play
  2. Or start from the homepage

Have an idea for a tool that belongs in the app? Message us on LinkedIn — we’re building this for athletes, by athletes.

Final Thoughts

You don’t need fancy hardware to get practice-grade numbers. You need two Android phones, consistent effort, and tools that show up at practice.

SpeedTrackr Free Tools is no longer a website of widgets. It’s the Android toolkit — timing, jump, reaction, VBT — free to start.
