This page explains how to delete your account in the SpeedTrackr Android app (SpeedTrackr Sprint & VBT, developer Dafin Edison J) and what happens to your data.
1. Delete in the app
- Open SpeedTrackr and sign in with the Google account you want to delete.
- Go to Profile and tap the settings (gear) icon at the top.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. You are signed out and your account is deleted.
2. Delete without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email dafin.j@speedtrackr.com from the email address of the Google account you used, with the subject "Delete my SpeedTrackr account". We reply to confirm and delete the account within 30 days.
3. What is deleted
- Your account and profile (name, email, plan and credits).
- Your training data: sprint, reaction and jump sessions, progress logs, and the athletes you added to your roster.
- Your account is removed straight away; any remaining copies of this data on our servers are deleted within 30 days.
- Data stored only on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
4. What is kept, and for how long
- Timing Gate improvement captures (finish-line captures and crossing photos, see our Privacy Policy) are stored without your email address, so they are not removed with your account. They are kept for up to 24 months to improve finish detection, then deleted. To have them deleted sooner, email us the date and approximate time of the session.
- Purchase records: Google Play keeps its own records of your purchases. We keep the minimum we are required to by law for tax and accounting.
- Analytics: usage analytics are not linked to your name and are kept by our analytics provider under its standard retention period.
5. Delete some data but keep your account
You can delete individual athletes from your roster in the app, or email dafin.j@speedtrackr.com to ask us to delete specific sessions or Timing Gate captures without deleting your account.
